Its been months since I’ve done any real work in a studio. The fact that the previous sentence is true absolutely destroys me. I dedicated the better part of my past 2 years on becoming a respectable engineer, and the past 6 months or so makes all of that hard work seem so distant. Lately, though, I’ve been able to come in contact with some people that can really help me, and I’ve even been in serious talks about internships at some really cool places, especially with one of my favorite producers based out of Portland, OR. The one thing stopping me from doing this is my lack of funds to get over there, and finding a place to stay during my potential limited time as an intern/assistant. My future is right at my fingertips, but I’m not able to grab hold of it just yet. I’ve been patiently waiting, and it seems like slowly, but surely, my time is coming soon. I can’t wait to get back to work.
